The forerunner of the Olympic Group was founded in the city of Bogor by Mr. Au Bintoro, Founder of the Olympic Group who initiated the first knockdown furniture in Indonesia with the Olympic Furniture brand. He aspires to make the Olympic Group a comprehensive, integrative and world-class furniture company.

The formation of the company PT Tiga Buana Prasetya which was managed by three brothers, namely Mr. Au Bintoro, Mr. Simarba Atong, and Mr. Eddy Mulyanto. Through this company, the Olympic Furniture brand is increasingly recognized, trusted, and is the choice of the Indonesian people.

PT Tiga Buana Prasetya split into three companies, namely PT Cahaya Sakti Furintraco (CSF) which produces furniture by applying technology, systems and machines from Europe and Asia to produce high quality products; PT Cahaya Sakti Multi Intraco (CASMI) which is engaged in furniture trading in Indonesia and abroad. PT CSF and PT CASMI were founded by Mr. Au Bintoro. Meanwhile, Mr. Simarba Atong founded PT Cahaya Buana, which focuses more on foam and sofa factories.

Mr. Au Bintoro collaborated with Mr. Eddy Gunawan to establish PT. Putra Bintang Timur Lestari (PBTL) which developed into a furniture trading company with products such as spring beds, foam, sofas, office furniture, and general furniture (metal and glass). And in 2002, Mr. Eddy Gunawan founded PT. Panca Graha Pratama as a manufacturing business unit for the East Java area, which produces spring beds and foam mattresses.

With the development of spring beds and foam mattresses, 3 (three) manufacturing business units were established, namely PT. Putra Bintang Kharisma, Bogor; PT. Putra Bintang Minahasa, Manado; and PT. Putra Borneo Lestari, Banjarmasin.

The springbed and foam mattress manufacturing business unit is expanding its wings by establishing 6 (six) manufacturing business units in major cities in Indonesia, namely PT. Putra Bintang Samarinda, Samarinda; PT. Kurnia Persada Mitra Mandiri, Palembang; PT. Jambi Bintang Lestari, Jambi; PT. Bangka Bintang Lestari, Bangka; PT. Semarang Bintang Lestari, Semarang; and PT. Makassar Bintang Lestari, Makassar.

The growing market for spring beds and foam mattresses is accompanied by high market demand, so Mr. Eddy Gunawan is developing the location of manufacturing business units in several areas, namely PT. Donggala Bintang Lestari, Palu; PT. Bintang Toba Lestari, Medan.

Established PT. Bintang Bukit Barisan, Lampung, seeing the open opportunities for the springbed and foam mattress market in the Lampung area

The establishment of a manufacturing business unit in the Pekanbaru area, PT. Bintang Sinar Riau and East Nusa Tenggara, PT. Son of Timor Santosa.

The establishment of PT. Graha Multi Bintang, as the holding company, is authorized to manufacture existing spring beds, foam, and sofas. Meanwhile, Olympic Furniture is held by PT Cahaya Sakti Furintraco (CSF) as the holding company.

In 2010, PT. Graha Multi Bintang expanded the market for spring beds and foam mattresses by establishing a manufacturing business unit, namely PT. Kendari Bintang Lestari, Kendari; PT. Lubuk Linggau Lestari, Lubuk Linggau; and PT. Bintang Papua Perkasa, Jayapura. As well as establishing a metal factory business unit, namely PT. Manunggal Mandiri period in Gresik, East Java.

In line with the increasingly competitive business development, Unification and Consolidation was carried out in 2015 to merge the Olympic business as a whole Olympic Furniture & Olympic Springbed into the Olympic Furniture Group.

Also in 2015, Olympic Furniture Group established two manufacturing business units for the wooden furniture market share, namely PT. Cahaya Bintang Olympic and PT. Cahaya Bintang Plastindo which is engaged in plastic furniture. These two furniture business units penetrated the national market and expanded the global market.

Olympic Furniture Group is expanding the market for spring beds and foam mattresses by establishing a manufacturing business unit, namely PT. Mutiara Luwuk Bintang Lestari, Luwuk; PT. Graha Jember Lestari, Jember; and PT. Lombok Bintang Lestari, Lombok.

With the development of the digital world and e-commerce, Olympic Furniture Group established PT. Eforia Furniture Indonesia, which accommodates the digitalization of the era for the Olympic furniture business world nationally.

Also in 2017, PT. Graha Multi Bintang established a springbed and foam mattress manufacturing business unit in Maluku, namely PT. Starlight Manise, Ambon.
